6. What about fat?
A healthy diet may contain a certain amount of fat from milk products. It’s a question of moderation. Because of the variety of milk products with different amounts of fat, it’s easy to benefit from them while balancing your fat intake.
We often crave foods that are high in fat and much less nutritious than milk products. The latest survey on Canadians' eating habits shows that adults get more than one fifth (22 %) of the calories they consume from foods that do not fall into the four food groups: candy, chocolate, chips, oil, salad dressings and mayonnaise, pastries and other similar desserts.
