I just got sucked into one of those fad diets - was all excited cause I heard all these people talking about it...spent the money (which wasn't a small amount either) and guess what...it didn't work - I followed directions exactly! I have discovered that if you watch what you eat, drink your milk and live an active lifestyle - not only are you happier, but the weight loss will come! Better yet it will not be Yo-Yo weight loss!

If you take transit, like a city bus, get off a stop earlier and walk the rest of the way home.

Drink a fruit smoothie every morning for breakfast. Put yogurt, milk, fruit juice, banana, strawberries and any other berry you have in freezer or fresh. A very easy healthy way to get your daily nutrients.

I was never a breakfast eater and then I hit the perimenopausal time of my life cycle and it got harder and harder to keep the weight off. I now participate in a regular exercise programme and eat 3 meals a day plus healthy snacks. Breakfast is a must, at least one hour before I work out. Generally, some high fibre cereal with milk and a fruit will give me the energy to get me through a full hour+ in work out time and get me to lunch. WOW...so much more energy after having a good brreakfast!!!

If you don't buy it, you can't eat it. Make sure that your cupboards are filled only with healthy food and not with junk food and you will be able to avoid temptation.

Yoghurt, cheese and milk may have fats in them, but they are healthy fats and shouldn't be spurned as they are good sources of calcium and milk and some yoghurt with vitamin D.
