I try to drink the recommended eight glasses of water a day to keep myself from being tired because of dehydration. I'll allow myself to have one small glass of 100% juice everyday, and I also try to drink a few cups of tea each day, preferable green. I like to drink low fat milk, and it helps me to get the calcium I need in my diet and it can also help with weight loss! For me, pop is only a special treat that I'll have on occasion, and just a small glass.

make sure to drink water between meals and stay well hydrated, sometimes we think we are hungary, and we are only thirsty, so do not forget the water.

Drink tea after dinner to stop those 'sweet snack attack' cravings before bedtime. The tea will keep u feeling full from dinner but also will calm your nerves before bed for a peaceful rest.

It can't be said often enough...DRINK LOTS OF WATER! If you don't feel like it the first couple of days keep persevering-by about day 3 you actually start to feel thirsty and it is no longer a chore. I fill a couple of bottles in the morning so I can gage how much I consume through the day. (tap water is one of the incredible things Canadians take for granted- avoid bottled water so we don't create more empty plastic disposable water going to landfill!)

Drink a half glass to a glass of milk before and during each meals/snacks up to your portions for age (pregnant drink more milk). You will find yourself more satisfied with the normal size of food portions and keeping a healhy weight gain, maintenance or loss. Just doing this will assist you in controlling your appetite. Everytime my husband gets in shape he attributes his ease in meeting his goals to drinking milk regularly every day. He tells me this will help me lose weight as well.
