Most people say that they are not morning people. Become one. I find that if you get the workout done in the morning hours, there is less of an excuse to skip a workout because of increasing stressors during the day and unexpected "emergencies". Plus, it's a great way to start the day and gets the body ready for the rest of the day. It takes a little while to get used to but an early morning workout can be the best way to be a little more active every day.

Never stand still! When waiting in line at the grocery store - stand on your tippy toes and back down on your feet. When you're reaching to the bottom shelf for a can of soup, instead do a squat everytime. When you're watching TV - sit up right at bring your legs up and down, this helps your thigh workout. If your standing at the stove cooking or stirring something or waiting for it to boil to some squats in the meantime. When your drying your hair in the morning do some side to side bends

In today’s busy lifestyle I have found the perfect time to fit in a bit of exercise twice a day. I take the bus to work and get off a couple stops sooner than the one I would usually use and instead of walking slowly to work or home, I will walk at a brisk pace to get there. It gets you your exercise and you won’t be late for work because it’s only an extra 10 to 15 minutes added to your travel time.

The next time you go to get in the car for a trip up to the store to get milk or something small, walk there instead. You save the gas and the environment, and you get the added benefit of exercise.

Every time I park the car I park far and walk, take the stairs walk my dog is great guilt if you don't walk him. Walking him is good for me and him and he loves it, he needs to be healthy too. I try to increase my pace and my distance some days. I try to be a good shopper by making healthy choices I make a lot of our food, not much processed or boxed. Choosing lower calorie , low sugar, lowfat products. It's all a balance that I constantly work at I have a few pounds that I need to lose again.

Always actively seek out ways to add additional exercise to your daily routine. Walk wherever and whenever you can, even if it is mall walking or walking an additional distance from parking spot to destination.Deliberately use the stairs instead of elevators where possible or deliberately go up and down the stairs at home. Walk instead of driving whenever feasible and when the weather permits deliberately walk 30 minutes away from home and of course 30 minutes back home.

Every day I wake up 45 minutes earlier than I need to. I exercise for 30 minutes every morning. I change my routine every couple of days so I don't get bored ie riding 10km on my stationary bike, 30 pilates video or 30 kickboxing video.

If you are going to lay down, sit. If you are going to sit, stand. If you are going to stand, walk. If you are going to walk, run. Move a little more every day!
