Wear a pedometer every day. It will remind you to take those extra staps and aim for at least 10,000 steps per day. Walking is a terrific way to reach your healthy weight.

I use my treadmill almost everyday for just 30 minutes with interval training and weight in my hands.

When its snowy and cold outside, I use the floors and stairs in the condominium I live in to my advantage. Instead of dreading to go outside on a cold day, I just walk along each floor down the stairs and across the next floor and down that set of stairs and so on all the way to the bottom. Then I walk all the way down the hall to the end set of stairs and run all the way up the stairs to the top floor, walk along the hallway to the other end's set of stairs (breather) and run down the stairs to

I sneak a little more physical activity into my day by always parking at the furthest spots in parking lots. I hardly notice the extra bit of walking but if I think about all the times I do it in a week, it really adds up. It also means less parking company so it's good for preventing dings in my car, too!!

Workout regularly, 3-6 times a week. Hire a personal trainer to change up your workout every couple of months (or if you hit a plateau) so that it is always challenging & you don't get bored. Don't avoid the scale. It is easier to take off the first extra 5 pounds than it is to try to get rid of the 30 pounds you avoided looking at! :)

My husband and I are now taking dance classes once a week. We practise 3 or 4 times between lessons. This has the added benefit of strengthening our relationship and adds a new twist to my exercise routines!!

The thing that I have found that is helping me with my weight and feeling better about myself is my daily walks. I walk 1 1/2 miles to work and back every day, plus a 4 mile walk around the country roads 5 times a week. Not only is it helping me physically, but it also gives me the time to re-evaulate the day and any things that I need to settle. I find that I watch less television now, sleep better, and just simply feel better about myself.
