I work at a senior citizens complex. Every afternoon there is coffee ,cookies and a plate of fresh veggies put out. I have for the past month completely ignored the sweets and opted for the veggies. I not only feel good mentally, I have lost 4 pounds and am feeling good physically. I am in a positive mindset and this makes me determined to keep it up!

Stop eating after 7PM. (Or within three hours of your bedtime). I used to have a bowl of popcorn almost every night or have a little something before bed. When my husband and I stopped eating after 7PM we both lost 10 pounds without changing anything else. It was such an easy way to lose weight. The first week is hard but after that, you don't even think about it. I have recommended this to all my friends and it has worked for many of them too. You just don't need those extra calories!

Feel good about what you eat while your eating it. Next time you feel yourself reaching for a snack, make it some ripe fresh fruit rather than those greasy chips or sugary junk foods. Not only will you feel better physically but by knowing that you've made the healthy choice your mind will be freed. Again not only will you feel better, follow this type of lifestyle for only one month and I guarantee you will look better too.

If you find that you are eating out more than you want to, make extra meals on the weekend or double the recipe when you do cook and freeze it. When you feel tired and don't want to cook, take a nutritious meal out of the freezer. This will avoid the eating out dilemma.
