Don't eat if you're not hungry! It's as simple as that. It's a tendency we've developed to eat when we're bored. However, since we're not satisfying our hunger, these end up being empty calories. We end up feeling worse in the longrun and are most likely still bored. Don't let yourself be tricked! Think before you eat.

I have included the following tips in to my life, buying colorful fruits to decorate my kitchen helps me to grab fruit isntead of junk food. Colorful oranges, lemons, apples etc really change the kitchen in to a positive atmosphere. I leave positive notes in the bathroom & kitchen to remind me why healthy choices are good for me ex. better skin, more energy, lean figure etc. I prep as many meals as possible, alway's having bags of various veggies, and lean meats cooked and portioned in the freeze

Get to know your body...I'm 40 and have come to realize that diets don't work, for me. My body craves physical activity, whether it's a brisk walk or housework...I need to stay active. Our family doesn't diet because of the kids, the word diet is a combination of foods you need to live. It's not the foods you need to cut out.

Eat when you are hungry, starving yourself will decrease your metabolism. When you eat a meal, plan ahead what you will have and savour each bite. If you are eating foods that you don't like you will not satisfy your body. Above all, remember that eating healthy is a permanent change, not a fad.

You should always listen to what your body is telling you about the foods you eat and the way you exercise. It is really wiser than you think!

Understanding my curvy, athletic body was the best thing I could do for my body image. Now I no longer go on crazy crash diets or overdo the cardio to try to be stick-thin. It won't happen with these hips and butt! Now I try to enhance my curves, not fight them!

Eating is not a sin, don't feel guilty for liking good food-not junk food. I take time to enjoy every meal and treat myself when I crave something special. I don't over eat, it is importtant to learn to feel fullness which most people don't.

Eat when your stomach is growling and tells you it needs food.

Smaller portions has been the key of late. Instead of 2 sandwiches, I'll take one and then will have another only if still hungry. Same applies to cereal where I now take a half bowl instead of a full bowl. The weight loss is slow but consistent and I still eat all of the same foods that I used to, just much less.
